More pairy slippers

These are more nearly a pair but still made ad hoc, correcting when needed, not according to a pattern.  These I wear myself -- and notice that the backbone of the whole is rather uncomfortable at the ball of the foot and at the heel.  So the pattern, when I get to it will have to do something about that.  But I like the look and the rest of the feel.  The are also slippery. so I need to find some traction material for the soles.

Despite their flaws (mostly caused by stopping too soon, leaving sides and back too short) these turn out to be quite useful.  Shoes come in half sizes, slippers not so much.  So a 91/2 shoe goes to either a 9 (tight and uncomfortable) or a 10 (loose and sloppy, requiring shuffling) slipper.  But putting these slipper (liner)s on makes for a perfect fit.

A "pair" of slippers

Learning by doing.  I did parts of one of these several times as I tried various approaches until one worked.  As a result, they don't match in most respects, but they seems solid and they fit.  Working toes and heels is something new for a cap person!

The whole blanket

Here is the whole blanket, blocking be praised.  Aside from the strange bias that developed on the needles, the biggest problem was putting the two pieces together: a course in that would be helpful.
